The KODAK ScanMate Scanner is a CRN Test Center "Recommended Product," receiving a four-star rating. CRNTech reviewers said that they found the KODAK ScanMate Scanner to be "at the top of the small desktop class for a color scanner."

The i1120 is a high-quality duplex scanner with a very small footprint... At 20 ppm (200 dpi) and an optical image resolution of up to 600 dpi, the i1120 is at the top of the small desktop class for a color scanner.

Testers said that the ScanMate Scanner was of high quality and the small size was a convenient addition to the desktop. They also thought it was fast and quiet.

Reviewers called the built-in Smart Touch feature "intuitive" and a feature that quickly becomes second nature to use. After just a few minutes of setup, up to nine task shortcuts can be configured and customized. Users may choose to save to a file, launch an application, send via e-mail, and send to a printer or a fax/printer.

The reviewers felt that one of the best pieces of software in the software bundle offered with the ScantMate Scanner is the DYMO File™ application. It scans and files stacks of documents at once, including a "nifty feature that allows for assigning bar codes to groups of documents."
